As all of you know, we normally hold our association AGM as part of our conference because it represents the best opportunity to meet in person. This year, unfortunately we had to postpone our conference due to the COVID 19 pandemic and with it our AGM. However, like all other not for profits, there is a requirement to hold an AGM yearly and our window to meet that requirement has fallen within the government prohibition of in person meetings and social distancing. In response to this policy however, the provincial government has temporarily suspended the requirement for not for profit AGMs to be conducted as in person meetings and so based on that we have decided to hold our AGM on line. Below, please find the meeting details and timelines:
Meeting Date/Time: May 28 th at 1 pm PST (The invite with the link to connect to the online platform will be sent out Monday May 25 th)
Nominations for Board Membership: Please submit the resume of the person you wish to nominate by May 15 th. (please send the resume to firstname.lastname@example.org)
Eligibility to attend: Only members in good standing (membership fees paid in full for 2020…all memberships run from Jan1-Dec31 yearly) can attend the AGM.
Agenda: Any suggestions for agenda items are due May 15.
